On 25 October 2021, London’s Ultra Low Emission Zone (ULEZ) expanded from central London up to (but not including) the North Circular and South Circular roads.
Vehicles not meeting London’s ULEZ emission standards are charged £12.50 daily for making a trip inside the zone. Those driving in, or owning a vehicle and living within the zone, can use Transport for London’s free online vehicle checker to see if they are affected.
The ULEZ, which is now 18 times the size of the original central London zone, is in effect 24 hours a day, seven days a week, every day of the year (except Christmas Day).
